Dollar making slight gains ahead of today's US retail sales & FOMC minutes, but to be seen if either report is hawkish enough to alter Fed expectations and extend those USD gains this week

Euro/$ continues to hover above 1.22 support, breaking below eyes 1.20 but w/ the Olympics, the Republican Nat'l convention & the elections all in the very near future, further dollar gains seem somewhat limited

Eur/Jpy reversing course after another brief run-up , but $/JPY's downside also seems limited as investor interest has slowed, reflective of Nikkei's recent fade
