عدت للشركة قبيل الاغلاق الذي يعقبه اعلان النتائج الفصلية لا أعلم مدى السنتات التي سيتحدثون عنها من الربح لكن ما أعرفه أن موجة الاستحواذ والتملك العملاقة(20بليون) التي قادتها الشركة تنبئ بمرحلة مفطرق الطرق فإما الغرق بالديون أو القدرة على معاودة الامجاد السابقة ولو بصيغة أخرى .

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Oracle Corp. (ORCL) shares rose 8.49% to $17.51 after the company issued fiscal first-quarter earnings that were above expectations.

The company earned 13 cents, or $670 million, on revenue of $3.6 billion, compared with year-ago earnings of 10 cents a share, accounting for all items, or $519 million, on revenue of $2.77 billion.

The non-GAPP earnings of 18 cents came in above the First Call estimate of 16 cents.

Wall Street has been, overall, more optimistic on the stock, which traded at a four-year high on Friday of $16.64 a share.

Oracle's aggressive strategy of acquisitions has paid off in gaining market share from other rivals, analysts have said.

In less than two years, Oracle has made 20 acquisitions of smaller rivals, including PeopleSoft, Siebel and Retek. The second-largest independent software company spent about $20 billion during this period on acquisitions.

In particular, it is believed the applications business was a particular beneficiary.

"Q1 was the second consecutive quarter that Oracle's applications new-license sales growth was 80% or more," Oracle President Charles Phillips said in a press release.
