بالصدفة وجدت هذا الخبر باحد اكبر المواقع الاقتصادية وزبدة المقال ان الوليد ينوي جمع 23مليار ريال (6مليار دولار) من طرح حصة من شركة المملكة القابضة للاكتتاب العام
مبيعات الشركة تجاوزت الـ90 مليار ريال

واللافت للنظر ان تاريخ نشر المقال هو بتاريخ 24 فبراير يعني قبل بداية انهيار السوق لكن لم نسمع بالخبر الا الان!!!

Alwaleed Plans $6 Billion Kingdom Holding IPO, Person Says

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who amassed the world's fifth-biggest fortune with timely investments in companies including Citigroup Inc., now plans what may be this year's biggest initial stock sale.

Alwaleed wants to raise about $6 billion by selling a stake in his Kingdom Holding Co., a person familiar with his plans said. In an interview yesterday, the prince said he will offer at least 30 percent of the Riyadh-based firm, Saudi Arabia's biggest company by revenue.

Through Kingdom Holding, Alwaleed holds a 4.3 percent stake in Citigroup Inc., the world's most profitable bank, as well as shares in more than a dozen businesses including Time Warner Inc. and News Corp. The prince's record as an investor and a Saudi market whose benchmark index surged 134 percent in the past year may stoke demand for the IPO.

``The appetite to be partners with Alwaleed is there,'' said Alfredo Rotemberg, who helps manage $200 million in international investments at OppenheimerFunds Inc. in Beechwood, Ohio. ``He's been a good buyer of companies.''

A $6 billion IPO would be equivalent to all the public offerings in Arab countries last year, according to ABQ Zawya Ltd., a business-information service in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It would dwarf MasterCard Inc.'s planned $2.45 billion sale, currently the biggest IPO set for this year. The Saudi Arabian stock market, the largest emerging equity market, has jumped as record oil revenue fueled investment.

``This is an ideal time to float shares and take advantage of stratospheric valuations in Saudi Arabia,'' said Joe Kawkabani, a money manager at Dubai-based Shuaa Capital.

Mideast IPO Boom

At least 100 companies throughout the Middle East plan to go public this year, more than double last year's number, says ABQ Zawya. Alwaleed's IPO would still fall short of the $9.2 billion that China Construction Bank Corp. raised last year and a $7.4 billion IPO by Electricite de France SA, each of which ranked among the 10 biggest initial stock sales ever.

Alwaleed, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, made billions of dollars by buying shares in underperforming, brand-name companies. In 1991, he invested $590 million in Citigroup predecessor Citicorp, which needed cash as it struggled with Latin American loan losses and a collapse in U.S. real-estate prices. Alwaleed, who at the time already owned $207 million of the stock, now holds about $10 billion of Citigroup shares.

The offering ``will be very big'' and take place ``early'' this year, Alwaleed said in the interview, declining to be more specific. A publicly traded company has ``better access to the debt and equity markets,'' he said.

Forbes magazine on Feb. 20 reported Alwaleed's IPO plan.

Hotel Sale

Kingdom Holding generated sales in 2004 of $18.8 billion, according to Arab News, which compiles an annual list of Saudi Arabia's biggest 100 companies.

Alwaleed is also selling shares in Kingdom Hotel Investments, a hotel development unit he co-owns, to raise as much as $408 million for expansion in real estate. Last year, he bought a stake in London's Savoy Hotel and announced plans to build a Four Seasons resort in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Alwaleed began investing after graduating from California's Menlo College in 1979. A year later, he received a $300,000 loan from Saudi American Bank, which was run by Citicorp, according to his authorized biography ``Alwaleed: Businessman, Billionaire, Prince,'' written by former Cable News Network host Riz Khan.

By 1989, he was worth $1.4 billion, according to the biography, published last month by William Morrow. Forbes magazine last March valued Alwaleed's assets at $23.7 billion.

He also established ventures with Deutsche Bank AG, Germany's biggest lender, to provide banking and brokerage services in Saudi Arabia, and with HSBC Holdings Plc, Europe's No. 1 bank by market value, to invest in sub-Saharan Africa.

الخبر الي اعرفه انه راح يطرح 35 بالمئة من شركاته في البورصة الدولية وهذ الكلام من شهر تقريبا اما مسألة انه يطرحها في السوق السعودية هنا يجي سؤال( مين المهبول الي يساهم في افساد مجتمعه عشان يكتتب في روتانا واخواتها من الفواسق الاجنبيه؟) هذه رساله لكل غيور ويخاف الله وعذاب القبر ويوم الحشر يوم لاينفع مال ولا بنوم
