وخبرين اليوم احدهما غير جيد وهو انخفاض مبيعات المنازل في يناير ب 5.3% لاقل مستوى منذ ما يقارب 12 عام مضت .
The National Association of Realtors said Wednesday that sales of existing homes fell 5.3 percent to an annual rate of 4.49 million last month, from 4.74 million in December. It was the weakest showing since July 1997, and some analysts don't see sales bottoming out until later this year as prices continue to sink. Sales had been expected to rise to an annual pace of 4.79 million homes, according to Thomson Reuters

The nation's biggest banks are being granted immediate access to further support from the government's $700 billion financial rescue fund. Treasury Department officials said Wednesday the new support will be provided through the government's purchase of preferred shares of the bank stock that are convertible into common shares at a 10 percent discount to their price before Feb. 9.
