حريق هائل وقع في مستودع في شيكاغو ليلة الثلاثاء، إذ واجهت فرق الإنقاذ صعوبات كبيرة في إخماده بسبب الإنخفاض الكبير لدرجات الحرارة التي أدت إلى تجميد المياه في المستودع وفي زيهم الرسمي. مكافحة الحرائق في الشتاء تكون صعبة جداً في بعض الدول الباردة لأن إخماد الحرائق سوف يحول المكان بالكامل إلى جليد.
